The Benefits of Optical Transceiver Production in Europe
Enabling a safer network - European firmwares
Besides entirely manufacturing the network hardware in Europe, we are also designing and implementing the firmware within the optical modules in conformity with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (NIS 2 Directive) which enables safer and more secure network infrastructures.
Building a strong ecosystem
Europe is a historical hub of technological expertises and innovations in opto-electronics. By producing our optical transceivers in this environment, we gain access to a highly skilled workforce and cutting-edge research infrastructure, resulting in state-of-the-art products. Partnering with renowned photonics research centres and key players in the market enables us to be at the forefront of the technology and further strengthen our goal to build a strong European telecom ecosystem.
Guaranteeing a superior quality
Estel is a strong global standards promoter and follower. We are designing network hardware that meets IEEE standards and follows EU conformity standards. This vision is accentuated by our participation in key conglomerates such as Open Compute Project, EPIC (European Photonics Consortium), IEEE, etc. Each production step undergoes stringent controls, ensuring reliable, high-performance, and durable optical transceivers that meet the highest industry standards.
Aiming for a sustainable future
We are proudly putting effort into designing and manufacturing network components with low power consumption to reduce the CO2 footprint within the industry and meet European sustainability regulations. In addition, our production line is entirely powered by solar energy to further fulfill our sustainability commitments.
Going the extra mile for you
By Producing in Europe we can deliver our hardware faster and provide local technical support to our customers. Less distance to cover translates to reduced shipping times, resulting in quicker commissioning of your network and minimizing the risk of supply chain disruptions.
